Products that aren’t tested on animals often fall into two categories. There are the super cheap brands that make your hair fall out, and the swish organic ones that make your hair fall out at the cash register. I’m not really into either scenario but it took me a long time to get over my squeamishness at buying lotions and potions from the op shop. But get over it I did and now I’m revelling in this full tube of hitherto taboo Garnier cleanser. Using it means I’m putting a certain amount of faith in my fellow consumers, but it just feels so deliciously like having it both ways. For those with higher hygiene standards than me, op shops are often stocked with product samples and gift packs with unbroken seals.
