Too often I have racked my brain for information that isn’t actually in there. For instance, I’ll try to think of interesting games for a birthday party when in fact I have never even known about the six different ways to play musical chairs or of the variation of pass the parcel known as “forfeits parcel.” Best to reach for the bookshelf, I think, whenever someone starts a sentence with the words “Can you think of…”
