Store decoration, $2

The backlash against Christmas seems to begin almost as early as the stocking of candy canes on supermarket shelves. In particular, people like to talk about how much they hate Christmas shopping. But Christmas need brook no backlash from me. I love everything about the silly season, including the air-conditioned shopping centres filled with families and beautiful things. Of course, as an avowed op-shopper, I generally browse but don’t buy. This is why I’m rather fond of Knox City. The BSL op shop is right there on Level 1, so when I’ve had my fill of admiring this year’s fashions and decorations, I can go downstairs and buy some of last year’s.
